Mammography
Territory X-Ray Services offers a complete breast imaging service.
What is Mammography?
Mammography is a non invasive diagnostic service for examining the breast using X-Rays. The examination is called a mammogram. It is used to detect and diagnose breast diseases in both men and women.
How long does it take?
Your appointment can take up to 30 minutes but this varies to suit your particular examination.
It is important to advise us when booking if you have breast implants.
Is there any special preparation?
Please do not wear deodorant, perfume, lotion or talcum powder under your arms as these may affect the quality of the images. Be sure to accurately describe breast symptoms to your technologist.
Please wear a 2 piece outfit for ease of examination.
